Gaustabanen offers a varied programme of events throughout the winter season. Here you will find experiences that combine nature, natural phenomena, activities, food and drinks, and knowledge, from guided tours and themed evenings to competitions and special seasonal events.

Planet Parade
Join us for a planet parade at the summit of Gaustatoppen with astronomer Vegard Lundby Rekaa. This will be an exciting evening with telescopes, insight and good company, close to the stars.

Northern Lights Hunt
Join us above the clouds for one of Norway’s most spectacular viewpoints. When conditions allow, we organise magical Northern Lights hunts at the summit.

Every Thursday from 26 February to 6 April 2026, Gaustabanen will be open late. This gives you the opportunity to experience the sunset at Gaustatoppen.
