Gaustatoppen Mountain Lodge

Gaustatoppen Mountain Lodge (DNT-hytta) offers lunch, dinner, traditional waffles, and overnight accommodation at the summit.

Perched high near the sky, Gaustatoppen Turisthytte is where mountain lovers meet. The lodge is located almost at the very summit of Gaustatoppen (1,883 metres above sea level). Built as early as 1893, it is constructed from natural stone sourced directly from the mountain itself.

In recent years, the lodge has been expanded and renovated inside, including a new café, a new lounge, and upgraded restroom facilities. From the lodge and the summit of Gaustatoppen, you can enjoy breathtaking views across large parts of Southern Norway.

The lodge is staffed and serves food and drinks daily during the winter and summer seasons, which run through the autumn holidays. Overnight stays are available but must be booked in advance.
