Practical information

Facilities

At the top of the mountain, you will have access to toilets, a heated lounge and Gaustatoppen Tourist Lodge which offers light refreshments. Here, you can make advance reservations for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Physically challenged visitors

Everyone is welcome to ride the Gaustabanen tramway, however, the tramway was built in a different era and has some limitations.

Wheelchair users must have a folding travel wheelchair.

People who cannot walk on their own must be carried through a door with a width of 50 centimetres, and then carried along two flights of stairs which each have 20 steps. You must arrange your own assistance if you need to be carried.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed on the Gaustabanen.
